Dr. Duque is Professor of Medicine at McGill University; Principal Investigator of the Bone, Muscle & Geroscience Group at RI-MUHC; and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Gerontology: Biological Sciences.

Dr. Duque will be speaking on, “Looking at Osteosarcopenia from a Geroscience Perspective.”

We invite CCMBM members* to participate in the Grants Review program to receive 1:1 feedback and/or live panel review with peers as well as coaching from experienced investigators.

Introduction to Linear Mixed Effects Models
Biological experiments often include repeated measures, like responses in cellular assays across different experimental batches or plates. Standard statistical tests like t-tests and ANOVA don't apply here. Instead, you'll need advanced techniques like Linear Mixed-Effect Modeling. This course covers why these models are used, their assumptions, when to use them, and how to implement and interpret them in R.
